Jo's Creative Journey

As I'm going to have some time on my hands in between travelling and jobs, I will need to keep my hands & mind active so (that I don't end up strangling Dave)...I mean.. so I don't get bored. I've always knitted, since I was about 8 yrs old, and I've also been known to do the odd cross stitch for family and friends. With time on my hands, hopefully I can expand my repertoire and I'll be sharing these creations here.

Cross Stitched Trout for Dave

This cross stitched trout was meant to be for Dave's 30th, I eventually got it finished in time for his 40th Birthday. :)

Vest knitted from Organic Cotton

Over the winter of 2012 I knitted this vest from Organic Cotton. It's a 3 row Moss Stitch pattern which I love and it's from one of Mum's 'ol patterns from the 70's, modified a tad so it's not soooo tight fitting.  See the buttons below, little fishies!!! Hand made (not by me) and I love 'em!

A shrunken Cashmere Jumper recycled into a Hot Water Bottle Cover and Bed Gloves:-

a friend of ours gave me this jumper to see if I could do something with it, and this is what I came up with. It is beautiful cashmere and sooooo soft and a feminine pink colour (picture of single glove on hand is true representation of colour).
I turned the sleeves into 'bed gloves' perfect for wearing whilst reading or using laptop in bed, especially in London where she is living. The rest of the jumper I turned into a hot water bottle cover.
