we left on Tuesday and made our way to Bear Gully at Cape Liptrap - our adventure begins.
a beautiful place with a lovely beach and camp ground. we set up our home and put up our annexe for the first time..... 2hours later! but we did it, very exciting.
there were lots of birds, wallabies, wombats, nature everywhere.
we relaxed, got our food happening, walked alot and maybe slept alot too :)
I found some kelp on the beach and it is amazing stuff. it's a lot like leather, so I thought what can I make out of this. I cut a strip and then cut that into three and started to plait it, added a shell half way through and tied off the end. let it dry for a few days and vaalaaa... a hippy bracelet :) at least it kept me amused for oooooh.. 15 minutes. I left it on the fence post for the next people who arrive, hope they have kids..
on the Friday Dave's Dad and brother arrived for the weekend and it was great to catch up with them. a bit of fishing, eating and drinking... a good time had by all.
we left on sunday arvo and stayed at Tooradin caravan park for a night..... um, different. We then left on Monday morning and got to Yea. stayed at the Yea Caravan park - very nice - and because it was soooo stinking hot, we had a swim in the pool whilst waiting for the washing to finish, noice!
we are now at our friends in Fawcett having a great time catching up with them. we will be exploring the Cathedral Ranges tomorrow - photos to follow.
we should be in Johanna by next week, just Dave and me and our home on wheels.... we have certainly got into the swing of the camping life straight away!
