Kalbarri to Exmouth

Here's another quick update :) from about 3-4 weeks ago.
Looking over the Murchison River
 from Kalbarri National Park

Coastal part of Kalbarri NP

Our next stop after Kalbarri was Denham and we did a cruise from Monkey Mia to see Dugongs!!!! A tick off my Bucket List that I didn't even know was on the list ha ha :)
hows the red earth and blue ocean?
Pearl producer and their pontoon.

Dave loving those knots
discarded shells once pearls harvested

Snapper enjoying some bread

In the following photos, believe me when I say there are Dugongs in them!

After our cruise we drove up to the top of Cape Peron NP, our first real bit of sand 4WDriving, woo hoo.

red desert meeting beach sand

pumping the tyres back up to 40psi

woo hoo!!
Next stop, Carnarvon and the space centre, which was extremely cool and very nerdy.
view from the satellite dish
overlooking the fruit plantations

opposite view from dish,
how's the difference?

the Gascoyne River
Off to Coral Bay where there is nothing to do other than relax and snorkel.

Oyster Bridge

the next 3 photos are very special for us because I'm not what you would describe as a natural water baby. I'll occasionally get in for a swim but only going in as far as my neck, with head well above the water. It took me a while to get used to my head being under water and then getting used to breathing under water (major weirdness). At the Oyster Bridge it was nice & shallow but still with heaps to see, so it was a perfect place for me to wet my head so to speak :)

Dave loves the look on my face in this photo,
he doesn't know if I'm happy or about to cry!!
A big thank you to Laura & Shaun for the photos and their encouragement :) xoxo

Exmouth here we come!!

now the most exciting part of our time in Exmouth, especially for Dave............... swimming with Whale Sharks!!!! how f'ing awesome is that? the following photos are supplied by "3 Islands Whale Shark Dive" and they were an excellent eco-tour company and made the day extra enjoyable.
